Track Internal vs. External Charges

New feature: flag your EV charging sessions as internal (home solar) or external (public charger) and add comments.

If you use your EV charger at home with solar power but also charge at public stations, you've probably wanted a way to tell them apart. Now you can.

Internal vs. External

Each charging session in SunPulse can now be flagged as either:

  • Internal (green badge) — charged at home, likely from your own solar production
  • External (amber badge) — charged at a public station or elsewhere

By default, sessions are marked as internal since SunPulse monitors your home charger.

Adding Comments

You can also add a comment to any session. Tap the pencil icon next to a session, toggle the type, add a note like "Supercharger Munich" or "100% solar day", and save. The comment appears below the session row.

How It Works

Annotations are stored locally in SunPulse — they don't modify the TommaTech API data. Each annotation is matched to a session by its start time. You can edit or remove annotations at any time.

This is particularly useful for tracking how much of your EV charging comes from your own solar production versus grid or public charging.
